Mr. Lin Wei is the vice-president of the Group.
Mr. Lin joined Zijin Mining in January 2008 and was appointed chief executive officer of Norton Gold Fields in July 2024. Mr. Lin began his career at the Zijinshan Gold-Copper Mine, where he worked for seven years across various departments including processing, mining, and functional roles, progressing from entry-level positions to department manager. In 2015, he was seconded to Norton Gold Fields in Australia, where he successively served as project manager, and general manager of projects. In March 2024, he was appointed chief operating officer of Norton Gold Fields.
Mr. Lin obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing Engineering from China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) in the PRC in July 2005, and a Master’s degree in Non-ferrous Metallurgy from the University of Science and Technology Beijing in the PRC in January 2008. In April 2022, he earned a Master of Philosophy in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering from Curtin University in Australia. In 2024, he was certified as a Quarry Manager and Site Senior Executive by the WorkSafe Commissioner of the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS) (formerly the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DEMIRS)), Western Australia.
